Dementia Care Proficiency - Online Training

Research indicates that psychosocial approaches have been underused in dementia care. This training is developed after two years of conducting surveys amongst iCST education training attendees and literature search to explore the needs of CPD education training to empower the health and social care workforce and family carers.

Individual Cognitive Stimulation Therapy intervention significantly improves the caregiving relationship.

What does this education training involve?

This psychosocial education training course is to translate theories and research evidence of cognitive and psychosocial approaches into clinical practice. It provides an interactive learning environment by applying communication skills and techniques through video observations, case studies, discussions, and practical exercises. It also provides the opportunity for delegates to share their experiences, skills and learn best practice from each other.
